01 / THE BUSINESS IN FOCUS
The experience connects the parts.
Apple’s founding history brings Steve Jobs together with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Its early computers supplied a starting point for a company that became associated with the relationship between technical capability and how a person experiences a product.
Hardware and software are encountered together in everyday use. Design decisions affect not only the appearance of a device but the actions available to its user. Jobs’s work at NeXT and Pixar belongs to other company stories. His biography follows those chapters, while Apple is the primary business connected to him in this collection.
